BESIDE UNTOUCHED OR UNDEVELOPED LAND

As a typical western town, Vernon shows the linear progress of urban expansion outward from a historic town centre. What was once wild land or agricultural acreage surrounding the town gradually becomes subdivided and filled with residential and commercial buildings as the town grows larger and larger, bit by bit. In true western fashion, the last house on the edge of town stands right beside untouched or undeveloped land.
